About the Role

The Communications Division strategically coordinates internal and external communications and advises the School on appropriate ways to communicate to its various audiences. The Communications teams work together to increase the impact of LSE and its work on the outside world, to the benefit of the whole LSE community.

This post holder will work on the organisation and delivery of LSE’s public lecture programme and other ad‑hoc School events. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and developing the existing LSE Arts programme and will join an Events Office team of five full‑time staff members.

Duration & Salary

This is a maternity cover position for 12 months from mid‑January 2026. For internal LSE candidates it could be a secondment position.

Salary from £43,277 to £51,714 per annum inclusive, with potential to progress to £55,497 inclusive of London allowance.

Qualifications

  • Experience of organising large‑scale events and public lectures
  • Experience in communicating effectively with internal and external users at all levels
  • Ability to plan and organise own workload and that of others
  • Ability to work as part of a team and motivate other staff
