Lusona is working exclusively with our Global client in the service sector to source suitable applicants for this new role.

We are looking to speak to qualified accountants with a passion for governance, compliance, and financial integrity. The Financial Controller will lead statutory accounting and financial control for several legal entities within a global organisation.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll be the key contact for local tax, treasury, and regulatory bodies, ensuring audit-readiness and alignment with group policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate statutory financial statements under local GAAP and IFRS
  • Manage month-end close, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Lead external audits and respond to queries with full documentation
  • Act as liaison for tax, treasury, and regulatory matters
  • Maintain strong internal controls and governance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Group Reporting, and Shared Services

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience in statutory accounting and financial control
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, local GAAP, and audit cycles
  • Confident communicator with experience liaising with external bodies
  • Detail-oriented, resilient, and collaborative
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
