Role purpose
This role is an amazing opportunity to drive our Geospatial development across the whole of the organisation, enabling our colleagues to deliver our challenging environmental ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Support the GIS Manager and Senior Team Leader as one of two technical leads for the team.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Environment Agency, DEFRA and external partners to evolve our Geospatial Services.
- Coordinate delivery with service leads to ensure joined-up, modern geospatial capabilities.
- Work with the National GIS Team to provide Geospatial services and support tools such as Easimap, in-house GIS view, ArcGIS Pro, EAMaps (ArcGIS Enterprise), and ArcGIS Online (AGOL).
Team and services
The National GIS Team provides Geospatial services and leads their use in the Environment Agency. We deliver across a range of tools and maintain a modern suite of corporate services to support users.
Experience / skills required
- Experience of delivering Enterprise Geospatial Services.
- Evidence of the ability to set a strategic direction and coordinate tactical delivery.
- Ability to work with a wide range of customers and partners.
- Experience of working with ESRI products.
