About the Opportunity

The role provides the opportunity to become fluent in a wide range of environmental regulatory requirements as they apply to our clients, with duties including assessing client operations for compliance and identifying practical recommendations to improve performance or achieve compliance. It involves desk-top analysis and confirmatory site visits to support our environmental compliance assurance team and our environmental permitting team.

Responsibilities include supporting detailed technical applications for environmental permits (typically for industrial or commercial properties, e.g., data centres), with growing opportunities in green transition spaces (hydrogen, EV, batteries, carbon capture). The role blends desk-based and client site-based activities, offering exposure to facilities and an understanding of industrial and commercial operations from an environmental compliance and permitting perspective. Additional opportunities may include supporting the development of client environmental and sustainability management systems and circular economy initiatives.

While the focus is Environmental Permitting, Management Systems and Compliance, graduates may also spend time in the Graduate ESG/EHS Due Diligence & Strategy Consultant role during the first two years to gain breadth of skills and experience.
