Group Financial Controller – TXP

Role Overview

As Group Financial Controller, you will lead the finance function for a medium-sized, PE‑backed business. You will manage month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and strategic decision‑making. The role is hybrid – 2‑3 days per week from our Birmingham office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own month‑end close and preparation of management accounts for all entities.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and investor reporting.
  • Develop the finance team across TXP Group, driving best practice and high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Manage external audits, liaise with auditors and advisors.
  • Support CFO with board packs and investor reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes and reporting.
  • Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision‑making.
  • Oversee tax, treasury, statutory reporting requirements.
  • Support M&A due diligence and integration.

Skills & Experience

  • ACA/ACCA qualified, ideally from a Big 4 or Top 10 firm.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/IFRS); international experience an advantage.
  • Experience in audit, controls and financial reporting.
  • Commercial mindset with interest in business operations.
  • Comfortable in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration and resilience skills.
