The Head of Finance will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of a not‑for‑profit organisation. The role requires strong leadership in accounting and finance to ensure efficient financial planning and reporting.

Client Details

My client is a Social Housing organisation focused on transformation and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and developing the finance department.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and trustees.
  • Drive business partnering agenda.
  • Review processes and procedures and implement change.
  • Manage cash flow and monitor financial risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team to maintain high performance.
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Professional accounting qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Must have either regulatory background or social housing exposure.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial reporting processes effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills to guide teams and advise stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.

Job Offer

  • £500 - £600 a day.
  • 6‑month interim assignment.
  • Hybrid working – 1 day a week in the office.
