Are you an experienced finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? The Altro Group are looking for a Head of FP&A to join the Finance team. The Group FP&A team are financial business partners to the senior managers within the Altro Floors & Walls and Autoglym divisions and are responsible for preparing tailored financial reporting and analysis including monthly management accounts, analysis of business performance, annual budgets and 5-year plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead the FP&A team of 6 Management accountants.
• Provide tailored financial reporting and analysis for the Altro Floors & Walls and Autoglym divisions, including monthly management accounts, performance analysis, annual budgets and 5-year plans.
• Act as a financial business partner to senior managers across divisions.

Role details

This is a full time (37.5 hours a week), permanent, hybrid role (minimum of 3 days a week in our Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire HQ).

Ideal candidate

We are looking for an experienced finance professional with a strong background in FP&A to lead our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will hold a CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or MBA in Finance and have demonstrated experience in FP&A within a complex, global commercial environment.

• Proven track record in managing and optimising financial planning and reporting systems, preparing detailed management accounts, and conducting tailored business performance analysis across areas such as sales, margins, manufacturing, inventory, and working capital.
• Experience with system implementation, such as JDE or similar packages, and complex group financial reporting.
• Ability to develop financial models, interpret data, and provide clear, concise insights for decision-making.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage a talented FP&A team, with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving, ensuring deadlines and high-quality delivery.
