Head of Operations – FinTech / Trading

Oliver Bernard are currently working with a well-established FinTech / Trading firm, based in London, seeking an experienced Head of Operations to join their Senior Leadership team. The role focuses on improving processes, technical efficiencies, and roadmaps across tech teams, with opportunity to influence across the whole company. You’ll partner with C-Level and Heads of Department to build roadmaps, improve technical functions, and act as the glue between different teams in an embedded / cross-functional way.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations across Development, Infrastructure, Build, Delivery and Product teams.
• Partner with C-Level executives and department heads to build and execute roadmaps.
• Improve technical functions and cross-team collaboration to drive efficiency and scale.
• Provide direct leadership for the Infrastructure and Security function, defining direction and scaling roadmaps.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Previous experience in a Head of Operations role (minimum 4–5 years).
• Strong technical knowledge of Delivery, Product and Engineering.
• Hands-on software delivery experience, with exposure to managed services, CI/CD, and SDLC.
• Experience line-managing an Infrastructure and Security team and shaping scalable operational roadmaps.
• Strong knowledge of Agile processes and the ability to build metrics and processes to improve business-wide efficiency.

Offer & Working Model

This position offers £95,000–£115,000 per year, plus benefits, with a hybrid working model in London (2 office days per week).
