Join our Senior Leadership Team as Head of Technology and drive the technical strategy behind our web platforms and mobile applications—our contractor-first solution serving contractors and workforce management businesses across the UK.
As one of four key leaders reporting to the Divisional CEO, you\'ll manage a team of 7-8 technical professionals and have direct influence on technical architecture, platform development, and engineering excellence for all our software products.
Indigo Group provide outsourced payroll, contractor engagement and compliance solutions within the construction industry.
We\'re the technology division of Indigo Group, leveraging deep sector expertise to build software solutions that solve real user and business problems.
Our mission is to build apps and tools that quietly help hardworking people and businesses handle money tasks and paperwork with less effort and stress.
What You'll Own
- Strategic Technical Leadership
- Bolst Platform Architecture: Design and deliver cloud-native, API-first architecture for both contractor mobile app and client web platform (primary focus)
- Platform Transition Management: Maintain optimal performance of existing systems while executing phased migration strategy to Bolst
- Client Platform Development: Build web platform delivering contractor analytics and compliance visibility for clients
- Team Leadership & Development: Build and manage a high-performing development team managing both growth and operational technical needs
- AI-Accelerated Development: Leverage AI tools and automation to accelerate development cycles, improve code quality, and maximise productivity
- Technical Strategy: Ensure all applications and platforms support current business needs and future growth requirements
- What You'll Bring
- Technical Leadership: 3+ years leading technical teams with proven track record of delivery
- Multi-Platform Experience: Experience managing both new development and legacy system operations
- Azure/Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with Azure, microservices, and auto-scaling infrastructure
- Platform Development: Experience building and delivering mobile-first applications and API architecture
- DevOps & Automation: Strong background in CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment pipelines
- Migration Expertise: Experience managing complex system transitions while maintaining service continuity
- API Strategy: Experience designing and implementing robust API architectures
- Performance Optimisation: Track record optimising applications for scale and user experience
- Highly Valued
- Experience within Financial Services Tech: Fintech, payments, or financial software technical background

- Software Architecture: Expertise in designing scalable, maintainable system architectures
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes
