Location: South West England (Hybrid – home-based with regular travel across the region)

Overview

Our client is seeking a People Business Partner to join their expanding HR consultancy team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of clients, providing expert HR guidance and driving positive organisational change.

Operating as a trusted partner, you will deliver strategic and operational HR solutions, covering the full employee lifecycle—ranging from employee relations and resourcing to organisation development, training, compensation and benefits, and business transformation. This is a hands-on and varied role that combines client relationship management with HR consultancy expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key HR partner to a portfolio of clients, providing practical advice and solutions across a wide range of HR matters.
  • Lead on client HR projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes tailored to business needs.
  • Build strong and lasting client relationships, using account management processes to deliver excellent service.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client services by aligning HR expertise with business priorities.
  • Support clients in areas such as employee relations, resourcing, performance management, people development, and change management.
  • Share expertise internally, supporting team learning and knowledge growth.
  • Respond promptly to client queries, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of client industries to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the organisation externally as a trusted advocate for high-quality HR consultancy.
  • Maintain effective processes and systems to ensure consistency and compliance in service delivery.

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification (or working towards it).
  • Significant recent experience as an HR Business Partner, People Partner, or HR Consultant.
  • Proven ability to advise and support managers on complex HR issues.
  • Strong relationship-building and client management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on aligning HR practice with business goals.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West.
  • Experience in an HR consultancy environment.
  • Knowledge of international HR practices and/or HR expertise within the TV, film, or production sectors.
