Overview

A prestigious global financial services organisation is looking for a seasoned Infrastructure Project Manager to become part of their dynamic Technology function. This role offers an exciting chance to drive critical infrastructure programmes spanning cloud, networking, data centres, and enterprise platforms.

Partnering with both technical experts and business stakeholders, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of complex IT infrastructure initiatives, delivering projects on schedule, within scope, and to budget.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, from initial planning through to execution and handover.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, engaging engineers, architects, and business partners to achieve objectives.
  • Ensure project outcomes are aligned with broader IT and organisational strategy.
  • Monitor performance against timelines and budgets, identifying and mitigating risks promptly.
  • Produce clear, concise project reporting for senior stakeholders, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Manage third-party suppliers and contracts that support infrastructure delivery.
  • Uphold best practice in project governance, documentation, and change management.

  • Cloud adoption and optimisation
  • Data centre migration/consolidation
  • Server & storage refresh programmes
  • Network modernisation
  • Deployment of enterprise platforms and tools

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years’ proven experience leading IT infrastructure projects, ideally in financial services or other regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of core infrastructure technologies, including cloud services (AWS/Azure), networks, servers, storage, and data centres.
  • Demonstrable project management expertise in planning, financial control, risk handling, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Working knowledge of recognised methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or hybrid models).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Hybrid setup (3 days per week in London office).
