Lead Site Reliability Engineer – Global Technology Asset Management

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and champion site reliability culture and practices and exert technical influence throughout the team.
• Lead initiatives to improve the reliability, stability, and security of the team’s applications and platforms using data‑driven analytics to enhance service levels.
• Collaborate with team members to identify comprehensive service‑level indicators and stakeholders to establish reasonable service‑level objectives and error budgets with customers.
• Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise within one or more technical domains and proactively identify and solve technology‑related bottlenecks.
• Act as the main point of contact during major incidents for your application and solve issues quickly to minimise impact.
• Document and share knowledge within the organization via internal forums and communities of practice.
• Contribute to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification on engineering concepts and advanced experience.
• Deep proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, toil reduction, and other site reliability best practices.
• Excellent knowledge and experience in observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
• Excellent knowledge of key cryptographic primitives and secure key management from storage to rotation.
• Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes with emerging depth in one or more technical disciplines.
• Good knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform).
• Good knowledge with container and container orchestration (e.g., ECS, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Fluency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python).

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Practical experience designing, deploying, and performance‑tuning applications on cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS).
• Practical cloud native experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Data Lakehouse Platforms (e.g., Databricks) and database querying languages.
