Lead Site Reliability Engineer – Global Technology Asset Management Join JPMorgan Chase and make a real impact by shaping the future of technology. Responsibilities
Demonstrate and champion site reliability culture and practices and exert technical influence throughout the team. Lead initiatives to improve the reliability, stability, and security of the team’s applications and platforms using data‑driven analytics to enhance service levels. Collaborate with team members to identify comprehensive service‑level indicators and stakeholders to establish reasonable service‑level objectives and error budgets with customers. Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise within one or more technical domains and proactively identify and solve technology‑related bottlenecks. Act as the main point of contact during major incidents for your application and solve issues quickly to minimise impact. Document and share knowledge within the organization via internal forums and communities of practice. Contribute to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Formal training or certification on engineering concepts and advanced experience. Deep proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, toil reduction, and other site reliability best practices. Excellent knowledge and experience in observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, and Splunk. Excellent knowledge of key cryptographic primitives and secure key management from storage to rotation. Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes with emerging depth in one or more technical disciplines. Good knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform). Good knowledge with container and container orchestration (e.g., ECS, Kubernetes, Docker). Fluency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Practical experience designing, deploying, and performance‑tuning applications on cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS). Practical cloud native experience. Knowledge and experience with Data Lakehouse Platforms (e.g., Databricks) and database querying languages.
