Learning & Development Specialist

Join us in this role where you’ll design and deliver impactful learning programmes that support employee growth, close competency gaps, and enable succession planning. You’ll collaborate across regions and functions to implement and enhance our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it supports development and progression across Generation UK West.
Welcome to Generation UK West
You’ll be part of the Workforce Planning UK West team where you, together with your colleagues, will develop and maintain learning curriculums, support onboarding, and advise leaders on competency frameworks and training strategies.
As a team, we foster collaboration, share best practices, and champion continuous development to empower our people.
You’ll play an important role in:
- designing and implementing learning programmes that support workforce capability and progression
- collaborating with leaders to assess training needs and close competency gaps
- maintaining and enhancing the Learning Management System to support development goals
- supporting onboarding and training workshops with engaging materials and facilitation
- evaluating training effectiveness through feedback, metrics, and performance analytics
- advising stakeholders on competency frameworks and training provider performance
To succeed in the role, you:
- have experience in Human Resources or Learning & Development, or equivalent
- are confident working with Learning Management Systems and supporting their implementation
- communicate clearly and influence people strategies with a positive approach
- manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritise with strong organisational skills
- collaborate across teams and regions to share knowledge and drive consistency
- are passionate about enabling others to grow and succeed
