OverviewLegal Officer | 8668 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £31,537 to £33,699 per annum (Scale G) | County Hall, NorwichWe are looking for Legal Officers to join nplaw to provide legal support to our Lawyers. nplaw is a public sector shared legal service with a wealth of experience gained through many years of advising our clients in local government, the public sector, charities and schools. We provide a wide range of legal services, delivered by specialist lawyers who understand the local government context. Working for the benefit of the public is at the heart of our culture, and we’re looking for Legal Officers to help us deliver our broad portfolio of services. Responsibilities
Assist with the provision of legal services to clients, undertaking straightforward transactions and casework. Attend meetings and draft documentation. Work closely with Solicitors and Senior Legal Officers on cases, and deal directly with clients to ensure a high degree of customer service. Learn and develop skills with the support of a talented team. In the Adult Social Care Team: attend meetings and court hearings when requested; chase and remind clients and third-parties to meet deadlines; progress court directions for disclosure and information from third-parties. Draft orders under supervision, ensure deadlines are met, take statements, and generally support team members.
Qualifications
Law degree, and note CILEx level 3 qualified (or working towards CPQ level 3) or hold a similar qualification or have relevant legal experience. Good knowledge of the law or willingness to learn a new subject area. First-class communication and organisational skills. A desire to learn and progress your career with training and support provided.
Team and start We are currently recruiting in our Adult Social Care Team. Ideally, the post requires an immediate start and is not suitable for candidates currently in education. You will be part of a large team providing legal advice and support on a broad range of adult social care matters, ensuring stakeholder and client expectations are met. Benefits

Working arrangements All office-based roles are mainly hybrid, with a mix of remote and office work at County Hall, Norwich. Our technology enables remote connection and collaboration.
