Overview

National Account Manager required for this market leading manufacturer of Garden Tools and Garden Equipment. Role is field/home based, looking after a few key National Accounts including B&Q and Screwfix. The Role

  • Sell the company's manufactured range of Garden Tools and Garden Equipment. The range is vast and includes Robotic Lawn Mowers, Watering Products, Pumps, Tree and Shrub Care plus Specialist Smart Systems.
  • National role; home based with regular site visits. Some weeks may be primarily home based and others primarily field based.
  • Manage predominantly B&Q and Screwfix; may be assigned additional accounts in the DIY sector.
  • Responsible for a turnover of circa £10M.
  • Deliver revenue, margin and share growth targets across categories.
  • Lead long-term Joint Business Planning, range reviews, promotional activity and seasonal planning.
  • Build collaborative, long-term relationships with buyers and key contacts at head office and depot levels.
  • Involved in New Product Development, Pricing, and Range discussions.
  • Identify and unlock new listings, spaces and range opportunities; spot space gaps and digital selling improvements; influence the customer to expand footprint store-wide and online.
  • Forecasting and planning; hands-on role with regular demonstrations and training events you will lead.

The Person

  • Must have previous National Account Management or Key Account Management experience.
  • Vital experience selling to Major DIY Chains or Large Retailers on a national level.
  • Ideally direct experience dealing with B&Q or Screwfix.
  • A very strong Account Manager.
