National Account Manager
The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced National Account Manager to join a market leader in ATM services, operating one of the largest networks of cash machines across the UK. With over 9,500 ATMs in operation, the business is committed to ensuring customers across financial and retail sectors have reliable access to cash.
As National Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of key national accounts, acting as the main point of contact and trusted advisor. The role focuses on building long-term client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for growth. Around 90% of this position is dedicated to account management, with additional responsibility for driving business development, supporting strategic planning, and negotiating agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and delivering effective solutions.
- Lead communication with clients, addressing queries, concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
- Collaborate across internal teams to ensure service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and expanding ATM deployments within national accounts.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to align with business objectives.
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare regular account reports for senior management.
- Conduct market analysis to spot trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Represent the voice of the customer internally, advocating for their needs and supporting long-term success.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ account management experience.
- Proven ability to manage long contractual sales cycles while building strong relationships with multiple decision makers across large organisations (essential).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
- Experience working with retail (e.g. supermarkets) and/or travel environments (e.g. train stations) is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel nationwide when required.
Package
- Basic salary £50-55k depending on experience.
- 10% annual bonus.
- £5,000 car allowance or company car.
- Remote role with travel (must have strong motorway travel links).
