Overview

NCEA Land Access Database Technical Lead – 31738. This role supports the Environment Agency’s Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment (NCEA) Programme, focusing on the Land Access Database which stores landowner details for monitoring networks. The post is flexible on location with an EA office base and some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best possible access arrangements for monitoring networks.
  • Maintain landowner datasets and perform spatial analysis for NCEA networks with strong data management and GIS skills.
  • Provide expert technical leadership through training, guidance, and optimization of data management processes.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot challenges in access and programme delivery.
  • Be adaptable and proactive, responding effectively to evolving priorities.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience with geospatial data, interacting with internal and external customers, and managing datasets.
  • Interest in driving a data management project that will transform environmental management and decision making.
  • Willingness to develop networks and collaborate with a range of colleagues and partners.
