Are you a Payroll Administrator or Payroll Assistant from an accountancy practice / payroll bureau background with 2 to 3 years experience looking to upgrade to a good quality Top 80 firm accountancy practice firm with 70 staff based in Central London in a new (September 2025) Payroll Administrator / Payroll Assistant position? Are you looking for a role with hybrid working which will allow you to work at least 2 days a week from home? Are you looking to continue your payroll career in a firm where you will have high levels of responsibility, report directly to an experienced payroll Manager and work with experienced staff so you can continue to develop your payroll skills? Working in a small and friendly Payroll team, your position will be hands on, processing a variety of interesting payrolls from start to finish (mainly monthly but also weekly, fortnightly and annual payrolls), building relationships with your clients and offer them advice and support. Your role will include processing payrolls from start to finish, liaising with clients, being responsible for the full payroll cycle, providing technical support in dealing with client queries, RTI, auto enrolment and ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

This growing Top 80 West End based accountancy practice will consider candidates who are either at Payroll Assistant or Payroll Administrator level. You must currently be working either in an accountancy practice firm or a payroll bureau, with around 2 to 3 years relevant payroll experience. You must be looking to work in a well-established payroll team and be looking for a role where you can grow and develop. You must have a passion for payroll and be looking to assume high levels of responsibility early on. Experience of a range of software packages would be an advantage and training will be provided where necessary.
