About the role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced People Advisor with a strong background in employee relations casework to join their team. In this role, you will ensure that all People activities align with business needs and contribute to the successful delivery of their business plan and People Strategy.
You will take ownership of people matters across the colleague lifecycle—coaching managers, leveraging data insights and collaborating on projects that foster a culture of engagement, inclusivity, and a positive colleague experience.
A key focus of this role is providing expert guidance and hands-on support in managing employee relations cases and investigations, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely resolution in line with policy and best practice. You will partner with the leadership team to address people challenges, promote leadership development, and ensure people practices support their broader strategic goals.
Working closely with People Team colleagues, you will lead on resourcing and recruitment processes, using data to inform workforce planning, performance management, equality and diversity, and service redesign.
They are looking for someone who can champion the consistent application of people policies and procedures, confidently manage employee relations casework, and influence decision-making through insightful reporting and analysis. You will also ensure the effective use of their People System, maintaining data integrity and compliance with GDPR.
What they are looking for:
Level 5 certificate in Human Resource Management - CIPD
Experience delivering a responsive and comprehensive HR/People service.
Skilled management of a range of employee relations casework and change initiatives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that help build inclusive teams.
Strong ICT abilities, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
This role is homeworking with a designated office of Memorial House Coalville, Leicestershire.
Benefits
Their generous package includes:
Contributory pension scheme
Health cash plan – BHSF
Employee Assistance Program
39 days’ annual leave (including statutory days), increasing with length of service (pro-rata for part time)
2 colleague benefits portals
Cycle to work Scheme
Flexible working
A wide range of training, learning and development opportunities (we are an Investors in People accredited organisation)
