THE PEOPLE TEAM

The People Team are based across several locations in the UK, working both onsite with Agencies and remotely. We are a professional, close-knit team, comprising of 15+ specialists in Strategic Partnering, Resourcing, L&D, and People Services.

This hands-on role reports to the Senior People Business Partner and provides valuable exposure to stakeholders and Agencies across the Group.

What will I be doing?

In this role, you will work closely with the Strategic Senior People Partner and collaborate with Agencies across the Group to deliver both strategic and operational support. Together, you will design and implement People Plans aligned with business objectives, while building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders. You will also provide coaching and guidance on people development initiatives, identifying learning needs and opportunities that help shape the wider learning strategy.

Alongside this, you will partner directly with some of the smaller agencies, taking ownership of cyclical people activities such as performance and development processes, pay reviews, and calibrations. You will also provide expert advice and support across a wide range of employee relations matters, from routine queries to complex casework.

Your responsibilities will extend to leading and contributing to various workstreams, including HR projects, organisational development, succession planning, talent management, and generalist HR support. You will work in close partnership with our People Services Team to ensure policies and processes remain fit for purpose, delivering a seamless and effective people experience across the business.

What do I need?

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or working towards qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong track record of managing varied employee relations cases, and experience managing restructures, redundancies and change management initiatives.
  • Experience working across multiple businesses and locations.
  • Experience managing and developing members of the team
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Skilled in managing complex projects such as pay reviews and TUPE transfers.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, applied with a pragmatic and commercially aware approach.
  • High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and integrity.

You are a confident and adaptable HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You balance pace with precision, delivering work to a high standard while managing multiple priorities.

You have extensive experience handling complex and varied employee relations casework. You are skilled at guiding managers through sensitive and challenging situations, from day-to-day issues to large-scale organisational change, always ensuring fair, consistent and pragmatic outcomes.

You are an effective communicator and influencer, able to engage senior leaders with credibility. You know how to provide constructive challenge while keeping business goals in focus.

Curious and proactive, you look for opportunities to improve processes and practices. You are comfortable with ambiguity and use sound judgement to provide clear, practical solutions.
