Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries and requests, including those related to the HR information system (BambooHR) and benefits portal.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in BambooHR, producing and analysing HR reports and metrics to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
- Lead and manage new joiner processes, including onboarding, induction, probation check-ins, right-to-work checks and payroll information. Coordinate with internal teams (IT, Ops, Reception) to ensure new starters have a smooth first day, working closely with the Talent Team and hiring managers to provide welcome information, induction plans and tech equipment.
- Manage leaver processes, including all necessary arrangements, exit interviews, and reporting on findings.
- Inform employees of their entitlements during absence (Annual Leave, Family Leave - including maternity, paternity, adoption, etc.).
- Manage monthly payroll processes, and liaising with our payroll department to ensuring accuracy and timely submission of information.
- Coordinate training session logistics when needed, support internal training initiatives and track attendance. Oversee the training budget and liaise with team leads for request approval.
- Contribute to ad hoc HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Knowledge and experience in generalist HR practices.
- Exceptional skills in providing a friendly, supportive and seamless service.
- Adaptable communication style for working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong focus on accuracy, detail and spotting issues.
- Ability to self-manage tasks and escalate when necessary.
- Handling confidential information with discretion.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Interest and ability working with HR data - including analysis, reporting, and providing insights that contribute to our teams goals.
