The Role
The People Coordinator is a hands-on HR generalist role, providing crucial operational and administrative support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You’ll be the go-to person for managers and employees, handling everything from onboarding, HR advice, payroll and data-driven reporting to ensure our teams are brilliantly supported.
Key deliverables:
- HR Generalist Support: Provide excellent HR advice and guidance to managers and employees, helping them lead their teams brilliantly. Handle key people activities, from probations to exit interviews, ensuring employees are compliant in our processes.
- Payroll Lead: Central point for payroll, responsible for inputting amendments, conducting thorough checks, and managing the monthly payroll process. Act as the key contact for the external payroll provider and internal stakeholders.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire employee lifecycle, from end-to-end administration to driving efficiencies and improvements. Include managing absence and performance issues, and supporting flexible working requests.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Supporting the Recruitment Partner, deliver onboarding activities, coordinate induction plans and lead the new starter buddy program. Support the recruitment process by drafting offer paperwork and liaising with agencies for senior and specialist vacancies when needed.
- People Metrics & Projects: With the People Operations Manager, analyse employee data to create quarterly People Metrics reports, monitor absence and sickness levels, and support the performance review process. Support broader People team initiatives and update policies as required.
What we’re looking for
Experience & Knowledge: Ideally you have previous experience as a People Assistant or HR Specialist, providing HR advice and guidance to managers and employees. You possess a good understanding of employment law and HR processes, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: With responsibilities as the payroll lead, a sharp eye for detail is crucial. You have strong administrative and organisational skills to ensure all documentation and data are accurate and up-to-date.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt your style to different personalities and learning needs. You are also a strong administrator, organiser, and collaborator.
Resilience & Problem-Solving: You are a true starter-finisher, proactive and accountable in your work. You can handle pressure and adapt to change, using your support networks to meet tight deadlines. You’re a creative problem-solver with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Team Player: You have a positive, can-do attitude and a passion for working as part of a team, actively seeking ways to contribute to a collaborative environment.
