We are seeking a high-performing Portfolio Manager to lead and oversee multiple client engagements across our technology delivery portfolio. This senior role is responsible for ensuring that onsite delivery teams execute projects in line with Statements of Work (SoWs), identifying new opportunities for growth, and translating client strategies into actionable sales proposals.
You will work closely with the Head of Project Management, client stakeholders, sales teams, and delivery leads to ensure seamless execution, strategic alignment, and measurable business impact. This role demands strong commercial acumen, stakeholder influence, and the ability to manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously.
This role can be completed in a hybrid way, spending 2 days a week in our Solihull, Dudley or London offices, or with our UK based clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple client portfolios, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed SoWs, timelines, and quality standards.
- Act as the senior point of contact for client stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
- Ability to switch context between running individual engagements, and overseeing the portfolio.
- Collaborate with onsite delivery teams to monitor progress, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within existing accounts, working with the sales team to shape proposals and close deals.
- Translate client strategies and business needs into compelling sales proposals and delivery plans.
- Ensure governance, reporting, and risk management are consistently applied across all engagements.
- Provide regular portfolio updates to the Head of Project Management and Technology leadership team.
- Support resource planning and forecasting across client engagements.
- Champion the CARES values (Client Focus, Adaptability, Responsibility, Excellence, Success) in all aspects of client interaction, team leadership, and delivery execution
- Maintain an unwavering focus on client delivery, ensuring satisfaction targets are consistently met.
- Mentor and support practice members and delivery teams, assisting the Head of Project Management in shaping a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability across TXP.
Skills and Experience:
- Evidenced experience in at least two of the following domains: Cloud (Azure/AWS), Application Development, Data & AI, Cyber Security, or Legacy Modernisation.
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc).
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Demonstrated ability to build business cases and translate strategy into delivery.
- Commercial awareness and experience supporting sales and account growth.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- The ability to hold yourself and the team accountable to results and the willingness to share your performance results transparently.
- Experience working within a technology consultancy is desirable.
- Experience managing portfolios in both public and private sector environments is desirable.
