Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. This role requires deep technical expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, combined with strong architectural thinking and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure solutions. You will deliver an enterprise-scale solution to handle email receipt, parsing of emails, mapping to Vipr Intrali fields and preparing files for submission to Intrali. This must enable enhanced reporting to be able to offer insights into processing times, error rates, compliance metrics and more. Ideally this workflow will also utilise AI capabilities to assist with the preparation of Bordereau documents before submission to Intrali (e.g. to auto-generate mapping configurations).

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Design and architect a Platform solution that aligns with existing enterprise architecture standards and business objectives
  • Create technical specifications, solution blueprints, and architecture
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate Power Platform components and integration patterns
  • Define data architecture, security models, and governance frameworks for Power Platform solutions

Technical Leadership

  • Work alongside a Power Suite SME to design and build the solution, including hands on Power Suite work as required
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the Power Suite SME, client stakeholders, and client developers
  • Establish development standards, best practices, and coding guidelines for Power Platform solutions that are aligned with existing Enterprise Architecture principles
  • Conduct architecture reviews and ensure solution quality meets client standards

Platform Integration & Governance

  • Design integration strategies between Power Platform and existing enterprise systems (VIPR Bordereaux data exports)
  • Develop and implement governance policies for Power Platform environments, including data loss prevention and security controls
  • Architect a solution that leverages Dataverse effectively and maintains data integrity
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security, privacy, and regulatory requirements

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Present architecture proposals and technical recommendations to executive leadership and IT governance committees
  • Work closely with enterprise architects to ensure Power Platform solutions align with overall IT strategy
  • Facilitate workshops and design sessions with business users and technical teams

Technical requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software architecture and solution design
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform component
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate (cloud flows and desktop flows), and Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, including data modeling, security roles, and business process flows
  • Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and API design principles
  • Advanced knowledge of Power Platform administration, environment management, and ALM practices
  • Experience with PowerShell, Power Platform CLI, and DevOps practices for Power Platform
  • Strong understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML) and security frameworks
  • Knowledge of data integration tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management practices

Nice to have

  • Insurance sector experience
  • Familiarity with the Vipr Intrali Bordereau Management System

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
