Private Client Solicitor | Bournemouth | 4+ PQE

If you've built strong experience in wills, trusts, and probate and are ready for more complex cases, bigger clients, and clearer progression, this opportunity could be the step that elevates you.

You'll be joining a highly regarded private client team on the South Coast, where lawyers are known for their technical depth, collaborative culture, and ability to handle everything from straightforward wills to cross-border estates worth many millions.

The Role

Here, you won't be a small cog in a big wheel. You'll manage your own varied caseload and be trusted as a specialist advisor, with the support of colleagues who are leaders in their fields. Your day-to-day could involve:

  • Advising high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and families on wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate.
  • Guiding clients through tax mitigation strategies, agricultural and business property reliefs, and succession planning.
  • Handling estates with international and cross-border elements, ensuring clients feel confident at every stage.
  • Drafting key documents, from wills and trust deeds to LPAs, with precision and clarity.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues, helping shape the next generation of private client specialists.
  • Getting involved in business development, raising your profile and growing client relationships across the region.

What We're Looking For

You'll be a qualified Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE in private client work, confident in running your own caseload and ready to push into more complex, higher-value matters. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Strong technical knowledge of wills, trusts, probate, and tax planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to make complex issues simple and approachable.
  • A proactive, motivated attitude, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Why This Role?

What sets this apart is the combination of calibre and culture. You'll have the chance to work on top-tier private client matters, but within a team that values collaboration, support, and work-life balance. Expect:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package, including private medical insurance.
  • 25 days' holiday, plus an additional celebration day.
  • Hybrid working options that genuinely support balance.
  • Investment in your training and clear pathways for progression.
  • A culture where you're encouraged to grow, contribute, and feel valued.

If you're ready to take your career further, with more responsibility, more complex work, and the backing of a forward-thinking team, this is the opportunity to make that move.
