We’re looking for a Private Client Solicitor to join a growing, well-regarded team in York. Junior Private Client Solicitor Exposure to wills and LPAs preferred; probate-only experience less suited Open to NQs and 1–3PQE solicitors, as well as non-qualified fee earners Organised, proactive and detail-focused with strong client-care skills Willingness to learn and develop, particularly in HNW matters
What you’ll be doing
Supporting senior lawyers on HNW estates and complex tax/estate planning Running your own caseload of wills, LPAs and probate files Drafting documents and handling client correspondence Liaising with clients, intermediaries and other professionals Playing an active role in the team’s growth and future development
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 DOE Hours: Full time (35 hours), part time considered Flexible working: 2 days from home; blend of Harrogate/Leeds office attendance Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays + extra leave for length of service Support for STEP, CILEX or training contract (with tuition fees covered) Clear progression path: Paralegal → Associate → Senior Associate Hybrid desk-booking app to choose office days and locations Transparent business reporting so you can see team and firm performance Supportive culture with approachable leaders and regular socials
