Overview

Join Co‑op Legal Services as a solicitor/fee earner on our specialist probate team. You will manage a varied caseload of probate cases from start to finish in a client‑focused environment. Work will be hybrid across Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, and Stratford‑upon‑Avon, with hours of 37.5 per week full time or flexible part‑time.

Responsibilities

• Own a caseload of probate cases varying in complexity end to end.
• Use our case management system and artificial intelligence tools to record information accurately.
• Engage with clients mainly by telephone and email.
• Work collaboratively with expert support to continually develop legal skills; administrative support provided.
• Use your legal knowledge to mentor more junior members of the team.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a solicitor or legal executive in private practice (CILEX or STEP), or have equivalent experience in probate law.
• Ability to use initiative and effectively prioritise and organise work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Client‑focused approach with ability to build positive relationships remotely.

Salary and Hours

£32,000-65,000 depending on experience (Work level 6A and Work level 5). Full‑time (37.5 hours) or part‑time hours available.
