Overview
Benifex is seeking a Sourcing Manager to lead negotiation and contracting for all agreements. This is a greenfield role joining a fast-growing technology company where procurement has historically been owned within business units. Location: City of Bristol, United Kingdom. Hybrid work – two days a week in the Bristol office (typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays), with occasional travel to Southampton (expensed). Please note we are unable to offer visa sponsorship and require candidates to be based in the UK or Ireland for this position. Salary range: £75,000.00-£85,000.00.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of contracts in line with the Procurement Policy.
- Delivering sustainable savings across the supply base.
- Ensuring procurement decisions are made in line with ESG principles that ensure best practice is adopted.
- Manage multiple procurement projects / contract renewals concurrently, prioritising and ensuring timely completion to meet business objectives and/or contract deadlines.
- Responsible for planning on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis to develop a procurement pipeline.
- Working with senior stakeholders within Benifex to deliver their strategic priorities with third party support.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Providing consultancy support to stakeholders who are utilising the business owned processes.
- Providing market insights to relevant business areas who are considering tenders and/or changing suppliers.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in a sourcing or procurement manager role, able to operate independently with minimal support/supervision.
- Experience sourcing software and services.
- Proficient in writing and reviewing legal documents (with referral points to legal where required).
- Ideally studying towards CIPS or have relevant education (business or legal).
- Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate detailed information critically and identify potential biases; develop logical arguments and support them with evidence.
- Commercial Acumen: Basic understanding of business operations, market dynamics, and the company\'s business model; can identify opportunities and threats within the market.
- Influence: Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Negotiation: Ability to identify key negotiation issues in complex scenarios and negotiate effectively to achieve favourable terms.
- Problem Solving: Ability to analyse complex problems, identify root causes, develop creative solutions, and implement them effectively.
- Relationship Building: Ability to cultivate effective, long-lasting relationships within and outside the organisation.
- Risk Management: Ability to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies; monitor and control risks.
