Overview

DB Cargo UK is recruiting for a Production Manager to join our Asset Maintenance and Management department based at our Stoke Depot. You will be leading and directing the Traction and Rolling Stock maintenance activities at Stoke Depot and other DB Cargo sites across the UK in ensuring cost effectiveness and the repairing of the fleet in accordance with laid down technical safety and quality standards.

Salary up to £48,052.00 depending on experience, based on 37 hours per week.

What will you be doing?

  • Ensure materials requirements are met and develop/implement action plans to address any shortfalls.
  • Produce condition and production reports; review specifications for new work.
  • Attend incidents/derailments in the role of Recovery Supervisor/Incident Engineer and participate in inquiries as required.
  • Be responsible for general Health and Safety on the Depo, safety tours and IPEs; update staff of amendments requiring attention.
  • Update staff competencies on CCMS and other systems and maintain high standard of overall competencies; ensure compliance of Plant and Equipment at the site.
  • Ensure updates and amendments to RA and SSOW periodic reviews are completed and compliant.
  • Contribute to maintaining a high level of employee engagement through transformational management; manage disciplinaries and grievances when required in line with company policy.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience leading a large and diverse engineering maintenance facility with traction and rolling stock knowledge while maintaining safety and compliance.
  • IOSH qualified or suitable equivalent.
  • Completed Accident Investigation Course and Personal Track Safety (PTS).
  • Transformational leader, able to work well with your team and the wider business.
