Project Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Project Consultant on a 6-month FTC to support us coordinate and lead on complex change initiatives across our business. This role will have a specific focus on supporting the integration of two merging and growing organisations. The role requires someone who is highly dynamic, can work at a fast‑pace, proactive and capable of navigating significant volumes of change while maintaining clear direction and strong stakeholder engagement. This role will be somewhat remote with some visits to our London and Leicester office where you’ll join a very passionate and talented group of individuals!
- Support in the delivery of a company‑wide change agenda, aligned with strategic priorities arising from the merger.
- Prioritise, structure, and manage multiple transformation initiatives in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Implement project and change management frameworks to streamline and standardise delivery across both major and minor initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison between internal business functions, senior executives, and external advisors involved in the merger process.
- Regularly engage with executive leadership to provide progress updates, raise escalations, and influence decision‑making.
- Prepare and present clear, insightful documentation and analysis to facilitate informed decisions by senior stakeholders.
- Support cross‑functional teams—including stakeholders from both legacy organisations and third‑party providers.
- Structure and lead on project delivery plans across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with strategic merger outcomes.
- Define project scopes, budgets, and governance frameworks in collaboration with project sponsors and Finance.
- Manage post‑implementation support to ensure project sustainability and benefits realisation.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of business operations to identify integration gaps, risks, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain robust Management Information (MI) and data analytics to support project tracking and performance reporting.
- Produce timely and accurate data and insights for use in stakeholder reviews and merger integration planning.
- Attend and visit sites as required to lead projects and build relationships with newly combined teams.
- Support the development of a consistent Project Delivery Framework to ensure a harmonised approach to change.
- Contribute to cross‑company working groups aimed at managing change and embedding merger synergies.

Qualifications
- Proven project management experience, ideally within the wealth and investment management sector.
- Strong background in delivering change initiatives within a matrix management structure.
- Experience supporting organisational change during M&A activity or large‑scale business integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to convert data into actionable insights.High level of comfort working in a fast‑moving, high‑change environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Resilient, adaptable, and proactive with a hands‑on, “roll your sleeves up” attitude.
- Must be able to manage competing priorities, adapt quickly, and stay focused under pressure.
