Job Title: Sales Executive – Transitional & Decarbonised Energy

Location: Hybrid – East Midlands office (2–3 days/week)

Salary: £55–65k basic + company standard profit share bonus scheme - £4-5k PA + benefits (Bupa, EV salary sacrifice, 5% matched pension, phone, laptop)

Role Overview

They are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to drive new business growth across international markets in transitional and decarbonised energy sectors. The role will focus on selling complex, high-value engineered solutions into target industries, winning new accounts and upselling into existing relationships. With an average order value in the high six to seven figures and long, consultative sales cycles, you will be expected to leverage your sector network to deliver £2M revenue in year one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and win new business with clients outside the existing customer base.
  • Develop and execute international sales strategies aligned with company growth plans.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, including C-suite engagement.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure proposals meet customer and project requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical and commercial proposals.
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact to contract signing, ensuring profitable outcomes.
  • Support product development, cost-reduction initiatives, and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records to track pipeline, activity, and forecasting.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in technical sales within one or more relevant energy or industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-value engineered solutions.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Experience selling into UK & EU markets.
  • Ability to travel internationally and work flexibly to meet client needs.

Preferred

  • Degree-level qualification in Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing.
  • Deep sector network and ready-made contacts in target industries.
  • Experience selling into complex capital projects with multi-stakeholder decision-making.
