Sales Manager – Energy Transformation

Are you enthusiastic about energy transformation and client engagement? Aurora is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to join our team, focusing on expanding our energy market subscription services and software solutions into new markets. In this exciting role, you will be a key member of our global commercial team, driving business development and developing innovative sales strategies for our energy market products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the sales team, guiding them to achieve their full potential.
  • Craft and implement effective sales strategies tailored to specific markets, driving substantial revenue growth through strategic planning.
  • Ensure exceptional client satisfaction and build/manage relationships with key stakeholders, aligning their interests with our strategic objectives.
  • Manage the sales process, generate new business, and collaborate with market leads and stakeholders to launch products and markets successfully.
  • Maintain an innovative, collaborative environment fostering progression opportunities.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of proven success as a Sales Manager, preferably in subscription-based data or energy analytics sectors; experience in other high‑tech or data‑centric industries is also considered.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets with a history of strategic planning and execution resulting in significant revenue growth.
  • A relevant master’s degree (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, or related field); advanced degrees or certifications in sales management or the energy sector are advantageous.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify, develop, and seize business opportunities; proven ability to devise and implement innovative sales strategies.
  • Skillful management of complex negotiations with multiple stakeholders, including drafting and negotiating client agreements and communicating complex terms clearly.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends to inform strategy; deep interest and knowledge of energy markets and technologies, and prior experience in energy or power markets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating ideas persuasively and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented, persistent, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality under pressure.
  • Proven success in collaborative, cross‑functional environments; proactive, can‑do attitude and willingness to contribute beyond core responsibilities.
  • Fluency in English essential; proficiency in an additional language, particularly relevant to target markets, highly desirable.

Desirable Attributes

  • Sales, business development, sales manager and client relationship experience in energy‑related subscription sales.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system.
  • Previous professional exposure to energy economics, power markets or the power networks.
