Overview

Senior Business Analyst role at Moneycorp. This hybrid role combines strategic insight of a Business Analyst with the delivery focus of an Agile Product Owner, responsible for shaping and delivering client-centric capabilities for the US Bank initiative. The role involves end-to-end ownership of product development and delivery, from defining business needs and product requirements to managing the product backlog, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring successful implementation. The role requires strong analytical skills, an understanding of client journeys and operating models, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions. The individual will work cross-functionally with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality delivery of technology solutions that align with regulatory and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capability Ownership: liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including clients) to define client or business needs; maintain, refine, and prioritise the backlog of features with stakeholder input; define and document product capabilities and requirements; act as a customer advocate; identify and triage issues; influence others to meet product launch objectives; work with stakeholders to define and measure product success metrics; collaborate with Product, Sales, and Marketing to support value proposition definition; document critical decisions and assumptions for validation; provide SME support; contribute to the development of the team and coach junior members; escalate risks; compile activity reports for stakeholders.
  • Business analysis: conduct client/stakeholder interviews to gather requirements; write user stories and clarify requirements for development teams and vendors; define target operating model, journeys and personas; ensure non-technical deliverables for launch (documentation, governance, compliance) are completed; run discovery sessions/workshops; maintain project overviews; collaborate with Product, business, IT Program Manager, development teams, and other stakeholders; work with technology developers and vendors as SME on business requirements; maintain business standards for analysis and design; assist in creating test plans; support governance steps; identify risks/issues/dependencies and mitigate; create and maintain product/project collateral; organise showcases with stakeholders; identify scope for change and analyse impact; support other BA team members; participate in post-launch reviews.
  • Person Specification – Knowledge and Experience: experience with Agile product delivery and BA in complex projects; knowledge of IT systems, processes and product development; experience in financial services, especially transaction banking and payments.
  • Skills: excellent communication; strong organisational skills; adaptability to high-pressure environments; ability to engage stakeholders at all levels including Board level; decision making and problem solving; autonomous and team working.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, permanent position to work with IT & Product Management in our London office with hybrid options.
