Position: We are looking for a strategic Senior Commercial Manager to drive business growth and profitability, and to develop and execute an impactful external and internal strategy to support the Group during this period of expansion. The role is based in Slough on a hybrid basis, with two days in the office per week.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be responsible for high-level commercial support to our sales and account management teams, supporting the negotiation of new and renewed commercial arrangements with clients to support the group’s growth.
  • Develop relevant commercial products for bids/tenders to win new business in conjunction with the Bid Team.
  • Provide advice and guidance on legislation relevant to existing service provisions and new products.
  • Identify the risks, liabilities, and commitments of contractual arrangements; ensure these are clearly understood and that the business appreciates potential impacts. Draft, edit, and approve contract documents, and manage deadlines relative to contract expirations and post-contract evaluation.
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective commercial procedures across the organization.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies across the business.
  • Be responsible for the financial management of commercial projects.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to support the business in delivering its environmental and social governance aspirations.
  • Create, maintain, and enforce policies, procedures, and governance to manage commercial risk.
  • Review and develop operational processes to improve performance and maximize growth.

Other information about the role

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum dependent on experience

Hours: 40 per week; Monday - Friday 9am - 5.00pm

Location: Slough with hybrid flexibilities. Travel to other office locations may be required.

Selection process: Application – Competency-based interview with task – 2nd stage interview. You must be legally able to live and work in the UK without sponsorship.
