Overview
Senior Compensation Manager at Monzo Bank. We’re seeking a commercially sharp, people-first compensation professional to shape the future of reward at Monzo. You’ll help build a reward experience that’s fair, progressive and built to scale — not just for today, but for tomorrow.
Responsibilities
- Lead our annual pay review, including stakeholder management with senior management, People Partners, hiring teams and the business during the compensation process.
- Lead salary and overall compensation benchmarking to remain competitive and attract/retain talent, including collaboration with the hiring team during offers.
- Maintain and develop Monzo’s pay frameworks and job leveling to fairly assess and reward work.
- Own compensation reporting, MI and analytics.
- Work with Payroll and People Ops teams to implement and improve reward processes to give Monzo employees the best experience.
- Be the main point of contact for compensation questions or requests from the Business, People Partners and Hiring.
- Help enhance how we use our systems within the team and explore ways to expand usage.
- Support the VP of Reward, Head of Compensation and the wider Reward team to deliver a compelling Reward and Recognition strategy aligned with our mission and people strategy.
Qualifications
You are a technical compensation expert with deep experience of UK and global compensation within fast-paced and scaling technology companies (FS experience is a nice to have).
- Lead the creation or evolution of a Compensation Philosophy.
- Lead annual pay review cycles end to end, including extensive modelling to align with budget requirements.
- Lead the annual benchmarking process, including extensive analysis of various data sources with alignment to salary bands and job architecture.
- You have been responsible for compensation statutory reporting requirements such as the Gender Pay Gap reporting and Pay Transparency.
