Location

Harwell office, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Co‑ordinate all phases of AIT for a Payload
  • Perform electrical integration of the unit under test (UUT) to test benches / test equipment.
  • Prepare, implement and support EVT campaigns, including procedures and bespoke EGSE.
  • Produce test plans / procedures from test specifications to ensure requirements are met and verified.
  • Perform functional and performance testing.
  • Create automated test scripts to control / test the UUT and the supporting electrical ground support equipment (EGSE).
  • Produce technical reports after test execution.
  • Adhere to Cleanroom procedures and protocols ensuring all policies are followed.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and validation of EGSE.
  • Schedule and plan for AIT support for all activities.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience in the space industry, phased array antennas and on‑board processing technology is also desirable.

Suitable Candidates

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Maths or Physics. Master’s degree.
  • A proven knowledge of testing processes, cycles and approaches.
  • Experience with Satellite AIT and flows.
  • Experience with working with and configuring Linux based systems including shell commanding.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications system engineering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and peers.
  • Experience of providing inputs to proposals from ESA.
