You will be working within the NPI Engineering team where you will have a focus on technical assignments that use your conceptual and detail design skills to support the development of our Hydro-Mechanical Assemblies and systems.From cradle to grave, you will be involved in proposal concepts, interfacing with the customer to establish the appropriate problem statement, contributing to the development of new products; teaming with other engineering disciplines to ensure the producibility and integrity of the design straight through to supporting the manufacture and testing of the finished product.With an emphasis on function, our clients expect our designs to be at the cutting-edge of technology which is the philosophy our design team supports each and every day. Working with us can mean deeper job satisfaction, better rewards and a great quality of life inside and outside of work.**Key Responsibilities*** Design of hydro-mechanical components and assemblies* Design focal for key NPI programmes and/or internal strategic improvement initiatives* Design of assembly and test tooling* CAD and drawing creation including design calcs and tolerance stack analysis* Design approvals and drawing reviews/signoffs**Key Expertise*** Apprenticeship + HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering* Conceptual and detail design aptitudes* Mechanical and hydraulic detail part and assembly design experience* Experience of design of actuators and mechanisms would be advantageous* Experience of working with a design CAD package e.g. Siemens NX* Understanding of manufacturing/machining processes* DFMA, DFMEA, DTC, Drawing creation, MBD & GD&T**Experience fit*** Senior Engineer – with 5+ years’ experience at this level you will be capable of leading technical investigations or engineering programmes, acting as the focal in support of design activities and already a design/drawing approver with ability to coach and guide lesser experienced engineers.**What We Offer*** Flexible benefits package and development opportunities to support career progression* 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)* Private medical insurance, mental health support and financial advice* Generous life assurance and company pension contribution (from 6%)* Employee share options, onsite 24/7 Gymnasium, free onsite parking, EV charging* This role is working 37.5 hours per week; with flexitime, hybrid working and early finish Friday options.We review applications on an ongoing basis, and the job posting will be closed once a suitable candidate is selected.
