We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Manchester, UK. The role is offered under a Hybrid Working Policy.

Role Purpose: The Senior Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate records of fixed assets transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, including IFR16, and supporting timely month-end close and reporting activities across multiple entities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and transfers in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of month-end close activities, including preparation of fixed asset roll-forwards, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Apply IFRS16 accounting standards to lease-related assets, including right of use asset recognition, amortization, and remeasurement.
  • Collaborate with the global CAPEX team in tracking key project achievements to ensure timely placement of assets into service.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of fixed assets accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Participate in global process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in fixed asset accounting.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Key Requirements:

  • Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, IFRS16 knowledge is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Assets Management – SAP Module.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to collaborate with various levels of management.
  • Understanding of work stream connection of Fixed Assets activities to other functions.
  • Strong deductive and analytical skills.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP ERP.
