Person Specification
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

Key Responsibilities
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare daily and monthly management reports, including analytical reviews and investigative support.
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations and transactional analysis.
- Group Reporting: Assist with quarterly group financial reporting and related analytics.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- System Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations between front and back-office systems, working cross-functionally with business partners.
- Project and Ad-Hoc Support: Contribute to ad-hoc project work and provide broader team support as required.
- Audit and Control: Liaise with internal and external auditors; ensure timely delivery of required information and adherence to control frameworks.
- Risk and Compliance: Maintain awareness and application of regulatory and risk compliance policies. Execute all controls diligently to minimise exposure and escalate any identified risks or control gaps to the line manager.
Qualification and Experience needed
- Education: University degree in a numerical or business-related discipline.
- Professional Qualification: Fully qualified (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial instruments.
- Sector Experience: Prior banking experience is desirable.
