We are recognized leaders in medical communications and value diversity, flexibility, and belonging.Senior Medical WriterLocation: UK office based/hybridJob PurposeDay-to-day lead in the development of the highest-quality, scientifically accurate, and strategically astute content and creative deliverables consistent with client requirements.Qualities and AttributesExcellent writing, communication and listening skillsAbility to work independently and be driven to deadlinesTeam player able to navigate a variety of departmentsProficient in Word, Excel, Dynamics and PowerPointAbility to communicate scientific concepts both written and verbalExperience interacting and communicating with KOLsResponsibilitiesServe as the key day-to-day contact for account activities and deliverablesLead and develop content with minimal review/direction, including data understanding and communicating on complex projectsProvide support with developing/second-setting communications and content as neededEngage with team members to ensure projects progress and offer solutions to issuesLiaise with client review teams (RAMMP, PROGRES, CRC, Veeva, etc.), as appropriatePartner and lead interactions with KOLs regarding publications, content and live eventsIdentify and manage freelancers and quality-check materials they produceBe the lead contact along with account team partner for assigned accountsParticipate in and lead regular update meetings with clients and internal teamsMaintain weekly project and production status updatesUndertake tasks outside the specifics of the job description where business needs require itScientific Services DeliverablesCreate, develop, and finalize deliverables for a wide range of project typesCommunicate clearly to different audiences through print and digital mediaDevelop outlines for scientific materials and client deliverablesProduce scientifically accurate deliverables using the latest applicable dataDevelop creative briefs for overall design conceptsRefine content based on client and internal feedback to produce strategically astute piecesWork with the account team to ensure deliverables are approved within timeframes and in accordance with client policiesTeam Leadership & CollaborationCollaborate with the Scientific Services Department and wider agency teamsMaintain strong relationships with the Client Services department and provide daily updatesCoach junior team membersScientific Support on AccountsContinuously expand knowledge in relevant fields and medicineStay updated on data and developments within accountsProvide updates internally and externally on developmentsCommunicate effectively with key opinion leaders and physicians as appropriateEducation and ExperienceAn advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, RPh, MS, RN, MD) in a scientific/medical discipline is required; biomedical sciences preferred2-3 years of experience in medical education, medical communications, pharmaceuticals, publishing, or publications planning and development is preferredThis position may require domestic/international travel, including on weekendsOmnicom Health is committed to hiring and developing exceptional talent and to inclusive teams.
