Job Summary
As a Senior Oracle Fusion Cloud Technical Consultant you will take a leading role in architecting, delivering, and assuring secure, scalable, and high‑performing solutions across Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, HCM, and EPM. Your core focus will be on Integration design and delivery using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and related OCI PaaS components, while also contributing to Data Migration, Reporting, and data‑driven automation activities across the wider programme landscape. You will also mentor junior consultants and champion best‑practice engineering across the Version 1 Oracle Cloud Centre of Excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end design and build of integrations across Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP/HCM/EPM) and external systems using OIC.
- Define reusable patterns for Application Integrations, Orchestrations, Event‑based APIs, and Batch transfers.
- Implement robust error‑handling, logging, and recovery frameworks with visibility via OIC dashboards and OCI Logging Analytics.
- Design secure connectivity using OCI Vault, certificates, OAuth2, and private connectivity agents.
- Optimise throughput through streaming, parallel processing, and efficient payload management.
- Collaborate with functional and data‑migration teams to align integration sequencing with data‑readiness and reconciliation steps.
- Prepare technical specifications, mapping documents, and deployment artefacts following agreed governance and quality standards.
- Extend integration capability using OCI services such as API Gateway, Object Storage, Functions, Notifications, and Autonomous Databases (ATP/ADW).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Visual Builder Studio (VBS), Git, or Jenkins for OIC artefact promotion and configuration management.
- Identify opportunities for standardisation, automation, and reusability within the integration landscape.
- Support data‑migration workstreams in defining staging models, data mapping, and sequencing logic for Fusion SaaS objects.
- Work with migration teams to design and test FBDI, HDL, and BICC‑based data‑exchange processes.
- Ensure integration and migration layers use consistent transformation rules and validation logic.
- Participate in data reconciliation, error handling, and load‑cycle optimisation during SIT, UAT, and Pre‑Prod cycles.
- Design and support integration‑enabled extracts for reporting and analytics using BI Publisher (BIP), BICC, or Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI).
- Align integration data models with reporting, audit, and validation frameworks.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to establish data lineage and traceability from source through integration to reporting layers.
- Promote best practices for secure data exposure and performance tuning of reporting interfaces.
- Enforce design standards, coding practices, and security baselines across all technical artefacts.
- Participate in Design Authority Boards and provide technical assurance across multiple workstreams.
- Support testing phases (SIT, UAT, Performance), troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate environment dependencies.
- Lead knowledge transfer and provide post‑go‑live support ensuring a stable transition to operations.
- Mentor junior consultants, share best practice through Version 1’s Oracle CoE, and contribute to internal accelerators and R&D initiatives.
Qualifications
- 8–12 years of Oracle technical delivery experience, including 4+ years in OIC and OCI PaaS integration.
- Proven hands‑on expertise designing and building integrations using OIC adapters, REST/SOAP APIs, XSLT/XPath, and file‑based orchestrations.
- Solid understanding of Fusion data models and experience interfacing with FBDI, HDL, and BICC artefacts.
- Experience securing integrations via OCI Vault, certificates, and OAuth2 tokens.
- Familiarity with OCI networking concepts (VCNs, private endpoints, Service Gateways) for secure connectivity.
- Experience integrating Oracle SaaS with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, SAP, Workday, or Azure services.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (VBS, Jenkins, Git) and automated deployment pipelines.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with experience in governed, multi‑supplier public‑sector programmes.
- Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to operate within structured, multi‑wave public‑sector transformation programmes governed by robust assurance and audit controls.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), or Oracle Process Automation (OPA).
- Familiarity with VBCS or APEX for lightweight UI or workflow extensions.
- Understanding of UK Gov Cloud hosting, data sovereignty, and compliance standards (NCSC CAF, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus).
- Oracle certifications such as OIC Specialist, OCI Architect Associate, or Oracle Integration Professional.
