Senior Planner - Construction / Civil Infrastructure role at Jacobs in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Travel to client sites across the UK will be required to maintain strong relationships and project alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands and timelines.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on schedule.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and potential risks.
  • Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with NEC3/4 and other relevant regulations and standards (including NEC awareness).
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to project schedules and resource allocation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and compliance records.

What you’ll need

  • Project Management experience on large-scale construction and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Primavera P6 proficiency: advanced knowledge and experience for project scheduling and management.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its application in construction projects.
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in schedules and reports.
  • Team player with ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client sites across the UK as needed.
  • Degree qualified; professional certification such as PMP or similar preferred.
