Senior Planner - Construction / Civil Infrastructure | Jacobs, Manchester, United Kingdom

This role involves ensuring the successful and timely completion of large-scale construction and civil infrastructure projects, with a focus on Primavera P6 scheduling and NEC3/4 compliance. Travel to client sites across the UK will be required to maintain project alignment and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands and timelines
  • Track progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on schedule
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and risks
  • Ensure all project activities comply with NEC and other relevant regulations and standards
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to project schedules and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to ensure seamless project execution
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and compliance records

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale construction and civil infrastructure projects
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 for project scheduling and management
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its application in construction
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate schedules and reports
  • Team player with ability to work collaboratively
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client sites across the UK
  • Degree qualification and certifications such as PMP or equivalent

Other information

Note: Jacobs operates a hybrid work environment and a 40-hour working week as standard. This role could be based in any Jacobs office and will require regular site visits across the UK.
