This role leads product strategy and execution for sustainability, shaping offerings across Planet Mark, SafePlanet, and related portfolios. It combines vision and hands-on leadership; defining strategy, engaging customers, managing backlogs, and partnering with engineering to deliver impact. The focus is on helping businesses and their supply chains measure, reduce, and report carbon impacts at scale, including ownership of the Planet Mark Net Zero Certification Programme, supply chain engagement models, and a new platform strategy aligned with global standards.

What you’ll be doing
What that means day to day
As a key growth role and member of the Planet Mark leadership team, the position bridges strategy, customer engagement, and delivery, requiring strong product leadership, sustainability expertise, and the ability to drive measurable commercial and environmental outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Product Strategy & Vision
- Own the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Planet Mark and SafePlanet.
- Define and articulate how sustainability products fit into the broader ecosystem and create long-term value for clients.
- Balance product standardization with regional regulatory requirements and customer-specific needs to maximize adoption and impact.
- Shape propositions that meet the needs of both standalone members and enterprise clients seeking to manage supply chain-wide sustainability.
- Roadmap Development & Delivery
- Develop and maintain a visionary yet practical roadmap, grounded in customer insight and industry trends.
- Translate strategy into execution through close collaboration with engineering, leveraging shared platform components (UX, APIs, configuration, QA).
- Ensure smooth customer migration from legacy platforms to new sustainability solutions.
- Customer & Market Insight
- Build strong relationships with sustainability and ESG leaders to understand their challenges and evolving needs.
- Partner with Product Intelligence to combine customer feedback, regulatory shifts, and market data into actionable insight.
- Participate actively in advisory boards and industry forums to shape our market perspective and thought leadership.
- Cross-Functional & Commercial Partnership
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure products enable commercial growth and retention.
- Influence pricing, packaging, and onboarding strategies to drive adoption and lifetime value.
- Provide GTM teams with clear product positioning, messaging, and demo narratives.
- Performance & Reporting
- Define and track KPIs including adoption, retention, revenue, and satisfaction for Planet Mark and SafePlanet.
- Communicate product performance and roadmap progress to executives, Planet Mark leadership, and the Board.
- Ensure that investments in sustainability products deliver measurable commercial and customer impact.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Significant experience in B2B SaaS product management or product leadership, ideally with responsibility for enterprise or platform-level solutions.
- Strong track record of defining and delivering sustainability products that drive measurable outcomes for organizations and their supply chains.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision-setting with hands-on execution (roadmap management, backlog grooming, direct customer engagement).
- Experience launching data-driven platforms that turn insight into actionable decisions for users.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to connect product direction to revenue growth, adoption, and customer retention.
- Skilled at influencing across Product, Engineering, GTM, and executive leadership teams.
- Prior experience in private equity-backed environments or networked SaaS platforms preferred.
- Proven product leadership experience in sustainability and ESG (carbon accounting, Net Zero strategy, climate tech, or related fields).
- Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, reporting standards, and regulatory drivers (e.g., GHG Protocol, SBTi, CSRD, SEC climate disclosure).
