The opportunity

Join 9fin's fast-growing Data, Design, Product & Engineering (DDEP) organisation. We are building a world-class product team with AI at the core and are looking for a Senior Product Manager with an interest in AI to lead the development of a market-leading Structured Credit product. This is a great opportunity to shape the future of a product and a company that uses tech to revolutionise the trillion-dollar debt capital market.

Key responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Execution: Collaboratively create and champion a clear product vision and strategy for your area, with a focus on building and evolving our Structured Credit product.
  • Problem definition & structured thinking: Synthesise insights from various sources to craft a clear problem statement, articulating the root cause in a structured way.
  • Discovery: Identify and use a range of confidence-building methods to understand users’ needs, how to integrate AI into solutions and client workflows, and how to build confidence in the tools.
  • Impact driven: Align the team around a key outcome and effectively prioritise initiatives across multiple dimensions.
  • Measuring success: Proactively identify and track metrics to measure client and business benefit.

Team Leadership & Communication

  • Team Success: Create a collaborative environment for your squad, providing wider context and clear goals so everyone can do their best work. Work with engineers and data scientists to bridge the gap between business needs and the technical capabilities, including AI models.
  • Communication: Ensure all involved are aware of the team's strategy, initiatives, and progress. Effectively communicate complex Structured Credit concepts to technical audiences and translate tech and AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Influence: Build strong relationships to empower the squad to achieve the desired outcome, often by influencing stakeholders outside of your team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work with stakeholders to gather input and insights, ensuring they have the information to represent the product team within their areas.

About You

  • You are an experienced product manager with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in FinTech or B2B SaaS, eager to build products that leverage technology & AI.
  • You have a keen interest in AI and actively engage with AI in your day-to-day work, stay updated on industry developments, and can translate product goals into clear requirements while working closely with technical teams.
  • You are analytical & strategic, able to use complex data to make decisions and define a product vision that solves a genuine customer problem with AI.
  • You are a collaborative leader with an empathetic style, able to work autonomously and manage stakeholders, while maintaining a strong voice and challenging others when needed.
  • You are a user-centric communicator who understands user needs and behaviours, and can distill complex solutions into bite-sized explanations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly getting up to speed in new domains and adapting to change.

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary (salary bands benchmarked at the top end of the market)
  • Equity options
  • Pension (minimum 4% with 9fin matching up to 7%)
