Overview

Service and Commissioning Engineer (UK wide) – Derby or Heathrow Airport (Hounslow) area. Salary: cGBP47k - GBP52k depending on experience, plus generous benefits, overtime, bonus and flexible working. This is a field-based role covering the UK and occasionally Europe.

Our client offers project management and implementation services, consultancy and software development to blue chip clients worldwide. They are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced multi-skilled, electrically biased Service and Commissioning Engineer to join the Industrial Automation and Projects team.

Responsibilities

• Check installed equipment is to the correct standard prior to testing, verify installation against drawings, and create a snag list for differences; ensure plant equipment cables into outstations meet standards in Code of Practice.
• Perform system testing according to the Installation and Commissioning Test (ICT) document.
• PLC and SCADA fault finding, modification and debugging of code or interface issues.
• Device setup and test, including configuration of sensors and verification of operation of systems.
• Conduct client Site Acceptance Testing and system-wide operational control tests for each system, including testing integrated system functionality and site-wide failure scenarios.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified to at least HND level or above in electrical or control engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in testing of electrical control systems.
• Based in the Derby or Hounslow areas of the UK is preferred; willing to travel across the UK and occasionally Europe.
• Full UK driving licence and no criminal convictions due to security clearances required by airport authorities; eligible to work in the UK without visa or sponsorship.
