We're Hiring: Site Manager - Groundworks. Based in Lincoln. Travel Required (as per project needs). Competitive Salary + Travel Allowance.

About the Role

On behalf of our client - a well-established and respected groundworks contractor - we are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to oversee a range of residential and commercial groundwork projects. This is a full-time position based out of Lincoln, with the flexibility to travel to sites across the Midlands and beyond when required. As Site Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of groundwork projects from the ground up - literally. You'll lead site teams, ensure health & safety standards are met, and keep projects running to time, budget, and specification.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site operations for groundwork projects (drainage, foundations, earthworks, etc.)
• Coordinate with subcontractors, site operatives, and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations
• Report progress to Contracts Managers and Directors
• Maintain site records and documentation
• Ensure high standards of quality and efficiency
• Willingness to travel to sites across the region as required

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a Site Manager or Foreman role within groundworks or civil engineering
• Strong understanding of construction methods, health & safety, and site coordination
• Valid SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid qualification
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Flexibility to travel to sites as needed
