A leading professional services business is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to take ownership of its development team and deliver complex, high-impact applications. This is a hands-on role – you’ll stay close to the tech while guiding a team, ensuring delivery and quality across modern software projects.

Role: Software Engineering Manager

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers while remaining hands-on with coding and architecture
  • Design, develop, and deliver scalable applications using .NET Core, C#, SQL, Azure, and Angular
  • Manage workload, timelines, and priorities across multiple projects
  • Drive best practice in coding standards, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Ensure high performance, security, and scalability across platforms
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and delivery approaches

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer stepping into leadership
  • Strong technical skills with .NET Core, C#, SQL, Azure, and Angular
  • Ability to balance hands-on coding with people management
  • Strong understanding of modern development practices, DevOps, and agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Passion for mentoring engineers and helping teams perform at their best
