Harris Computer is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist for the Harris UK HR team, on a full-time, permanent, remote-working basis. The ideal candidate will be based within commuting distance to Manchester City Centre, for team-collaboration office-working days.

This exciting role supports Harris Business Unit’s predominantly in the UK, Spain and Australia, as we continue to grow.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Harris Computer, you will have the responsibility of matching talent with the opportunity, guiding and consulting with hiring managers on their talent acquisition needs, and supporting with ad hoc projects and initiatives.

What will be your impact?

  • Partnering with business managers and hiring managers to assess their talent requirements and advising on the best hiring strategy
  • Function as an internal consultant on recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and retention
  • Being the single point of contact for candidates throughout the whole process, from initial application, to offer negotiations, to preparing employment contracts, background screening and all other correspondence prior to the employment start date
  • Posting jobs and maintaining current knowledge of emerging technology
  • Identify potential talent by screening CVs of internal and external candidates, assessing employee referrals, conducting phone interviews
  • Utilise a variety of cost-efficient sourcing techniques to recruit high quality candidates
  • Sourcing passive candidates through multiple approaches as required by the specifics of the role
  • Owning the candidate experience and proactively looking for ways to improve this
  • Maintaining up to date candidate profiles and status in applicant tracking system, ensuring compliance with the relevant policies and data laws

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years’ recruitment experience, either from an agency or in-house, with the ability to competently manage high volume hiring across multiple business demands
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence in sourcing and assessing talent within a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and data analysis to drive decisions
  • An ambitious self-starter with the ability to connect with others, prioritize and deliver
